The Newcomers Library was started to meet the needs of Newcomers members who love to read but find books expensive to buy in Greece . We now have an inventory of approximately 2,000 books, mostly fiction. We also have a small collection of videos and children’s books.
The library is located in Kifissia. There is a nominal fee of €.50 cents per book to take out. Library meets 2 times per month, one evening session the first Monday of every month from 7pm-8pm and one morning session the third Monday of every month from 10:30am-1pm. Coffee and refreshments are served at the morning session.
There is no limit to how many books may be checked out at one time and books should be returned within a month so others may also enjoy them. Renewal fees are the same as the original rentals. You will be asked to replace lost books. New books are continually being added to the stock. We also welcome donations of books and videos.
